We would like to invite you to the first ever retreat for families affected by VCFS in Texas, scheduled for Friday April 30 (afternoon) -May 2, 2010 at Peaceable Kingdom Retreat near Florence, Texas. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for a FUN weekend of informative sessions and parent support on topics of interest to families affected by VCFS
Peaceable Kingdom is a non-profit retreat on the Lampasas River for children and others with special health care and other needs. It is located in central Texas - near Florence, northwest of Georgetown, TX. It is a FABULOUS place in the Hill Country with cabins for sleeping, large spaces for meetings, fishing, campfire, petting "zoo," Putt Putt golf and a magical movie theater in the woods built by Cinemark. All meals and lodging are included and it would be free to all of us!
We would like to bring families and invited professionals together, with hopefully a fair amount of volunteers to help with childcare, to have some informative meetings about topics of interest to families with VCFS, and some opportunities for support, and time to get to know each other a bit.
This is a REALLY FUN PLACE AND A GREAT OPPORTUNITY YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS! Please mark your calendars and let us know how many you think would attend from your family (PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY) and also let me know if you would be interested in presenting on any topics, volunteering to help with registration, programming, have a volunteer or can work to get volunteers for childcare (volunteers could come and stay free too and enjoy the retreat), have a speaker you'd like to invite.
